COMMITTEES
Committees provide the opportunity for community members to have input on the activities and direction of the Partnership. All volunteers are encouraged to participate in each committee that meets their interests and expertise.
AWARDS Develop and judge annual Palliative Care Awards to honor new and established palliative care programs, as well as media coverage of palliative care. Convene community in support of palliative care at Awards Reception.
PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION Create and implement multidisciplinary and profession-specific educational programs. Increase the knowledge and skill of all types of health care professionals in providing palliative and end-of-life care to diverse populations
PUBLIC EDUCATION Assist consumers in finding resources in palliative and end-of-life care. Educate DC communities through messenger groups, town meetings, and outreach campaigns.
PUBLIC POLICY Seek policy reform to enhance the accessibility and quality of palliative care, especially for the most vulnerable members of our community.
FINANCIAL DEVELOPMENT Research and recommend sources of funding to ensure the Partnership’s sustainability. Assist with the application process for grants.
